Registration for the Fall 2024 and Summer 2025 Season is now open!  See link above.

***Mandatory Player Evaluations are scheduled for Tuesday, July 30 and Wednesday, July 31.***

The evaluations will take place at the River Falls High School Varsity Field and the tentative schedule is:

Tuesday July 30th:

  • 5-6:15pm 10U Utility (All Players)
  • 6:15-7pm 10U Pitchers and Catchers
  • 7-7:45pm 14U Utility (All Players)
  • 7:45-8:15pm 14U Pitchers and Catchers

Wednesday July 31st:

  • 5-5:45pm 8U Utility (All Players)
  • 5:45-6:15pm 12U Utility (All Players)
  • 6:15-7pm 12U Pitchers and Catchers
  • 7-7:45pm 16U/18U Utility (All Players)
  • 7:45-8:15pm 16U/18U Pitchers and Catchers

Please make every effort to have your player at evaluations in order to ensure the best placement for the upcoming season.  If your player is not able to attend evaluations, please notify the board ASAP by emailing rfyouthsoftball@gmail.com.

Age Levels

The age of the player on August 31, 2024 is their playing age for the 2024/2025 season.  Players must evaluate with their age group, but may also elect to evaluate at the next older age level.  An additional $50 Non-Refundable Evaluation Fee will be assessed, and players will be placed with the age level determined to be best for the player.

  • 8U: Born September 1, 2015 – August 31, 2017*
  • 10U: Born September 1, 2013 – August 31, 2015
  • 12U: Born September 1, 2011 – August 31, 2013
  • 14U: Born September 1, 2009 – August 31, 2011
  • 16/18U: Born September 1, 2005 – August 31, 2009

Uniform Information

All players must have a uniform for the upcoming season which can be ordered here: 

River Falls Youth Softball – River City Stitch

If you have a a new player, please make sure to see the uniform requirements in the link above.  Once your order is placed, a board member will reach out to you to choose an available jersey number.  Returning players may also use this link to replace their existing gear as needed for the fall season, but uniforms will likely be updated prior to the Spring 2025 season.

***Orders must be placed by July 26th to make sure they are ready in time for the Fall Season.  Sample sizes are available to try-on at River City Stitch.***

River Falls Youth Softball

River Falls Youth Softball Organization (RFYSO) is a non-profit organization founded in 2014 to offer girls in the River Falls community an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of fast-pitch softball in a fun and safe environment. RFYSO consists of volunteer board members that oversee the following programs: Little Sluggers for 6 to 9 year olds, Tri-County Traveling teams 10U, 12U, 14U, and 18U age groups, and Metro 8 and Under League for our 8U travel team.

Youth Softball Fundraiser

River Falls Youth Softball will be running the 50/50 Raffle at Johnnies on select Friday evenings and we need your support! It's a great way to raise money for the organization and help keep our fees down. We also use this money to purchase new gear and equipment and for field maintenance.
