Please review the following information regarding our Fall 2025 and Spring/Summer 2026 Seasons

Spring/Summer 2026 - Registration Closed

• Registration for our player evaluations and Spring/Summer 2026 season is open until August 31, 2025.
• Cost
  • $150 for 8U
  • $450 for 10U-14U (includes $50  evaluation fee)
  • Registration fees are non-refundable after December 1, 2025. Evaluation Fees are non-refundable.
• Player evaluations/tryouts will take place on the morning of September 13 (location TBD) for 10U - 14U. 
  • Evaluations are MANDATORY and every effort should be made for the player to attend. 
  • Team placement for Spring/Summer 2026 10U - 14U teams will be based on a combination of tryout scores and coach evaluations/feedback (if applicable).
  • Every effort will be made to place all players on a team according to their skill level. However a spot cannot be guaranteed and depends on the number of players who register. Players who are not offered a spot on a team will refunded the registration fee (minus the evaluation fee) and be placed on a waitlist in the event that a spot becomes available.
• We will not have tryouts/evaluations for 8U this year and will use coach feedback and age/experience to form 8U teams.

• We will be offering two FREE tryout prep sessions (for any players registered to try-out for Spring/Summer 2026) on Wednesday, September 10:
  • Session 1:  5:15-6:30PM - 10U
  • Session 2:  6:45-8:00PM – 12U and 14U
  • Players will receive fielding instruction and have the opportunity to work through the stations they will see at the tryout assessment.  
• There will be another opportunity to order uniforms prior to the Spring/Summer 2026 season for those not playing Fall 2025.
  • All new players need a full uniform: jersey set (tank and short-sleeve option), navy pants, socks, and belt.
  • Uniforms will be the same as last season so only new players will need to order the full uniform set. Our uniform coordinator will be reaching out to new players to coordinate jersey numbers.
  • Returning players can replace or refresh their uniforms as needed as well. Please use the same jersey number as previous seasons.
  • Other required equipment includes glove, fielding mask, bat, and batting helmet.

Fall 2025 - Registration Closed

• Cost: $100 (non-refundable)
• Additional apparel can be purchased here.
  • All new players need a full uniform: jersey set (tank and short-sleeve option), navy pants, socks, and belt.
  • Uniforms will be the same as last season so only new players will need to order the full uniform set. Our uniform coordinator will be reaching out to new players to coordinate jersey numbers.
  • Returning players can replace or refresh their uniforms as needed as well. Please use the same jersey number as previous seasons.

• Team formation for Fall 2025 will be based on age, experience, and coach evaluations (if applicable). Fall is the official start of the 2025-2026 season, so players who are moving up in age levels (e.g., from 12U to 14U) will do so in the fall. You can use this calculator to check your player's playing age for the upcoming season (select "Fastpitch" as the sport and "2026" as the season).
• We will release Fall teams in early-August and the season will begin the weekend of August 23-24.

River Falls Youth Softball Association teams play in the Tri-County League at the 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16/18U levels, and the Metro 8 and Under League for our 8U team.

Fall Season

• Games (double-headers) are one day per week (Saturday or Sunday) at Tri-County league team locations across the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin
• Fall games typically run late-August through the end of September
• Practices are typically one night per week

Spring/Summer Season

• Games are played May through July at Tri-County league team locations across the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin
• 10U-14U teams generally play double-header games two nights per week and three weekend tournaments in addition to the State Qualifier Tournament that is held at the end of league play. Teams will also have a chance to advance to the State Tournament.
• 8U teams generally play single games one night a week until the last two weeks of league play when they will play one night of double-headers. All 8U teams have the opportunity to play in a State Tournament to end the season.
• Practices are typically two nights per week until games begin and then up to coach discretion.

Little Sluggers is our beginner to softball program from girls ages 5 - 9. It is a 6 week program where we use the first 3 sessions to teach all the skills one would need to learn the game of softball. The last 3 weeks we will play mini-scrimmages so parents and fans can see the progress their little sluggers made!

  • Ages 7-9: 6:45-8:00pm
